Anglesey Court Personnel

Kevin Hoare has owned Anglesey Court since 1988. He is a businessman, Anglesey Court being the only residential home he owns, Mariaan Vermaak (Home Manager) keeps him up to date with running of home by sending him weekly reports.

Mariaan Vermaak has been the Home Manager since October 2010. She is currently awaiting her Registration Manager status. She has obtained her NVQ 4 in Social Care in 2009 she has 10 years care experience of which she fulfilled the role as Deputy Manager in two previous care homes. She has attended various courses over the years like Safeguarding Adults, Mental Capacity Act + Dols, Dementia training, Safe Handling of Medicines, Parkinsons etc. She is also qualified as a Manual Handling Trainer.

Mariaan has 7 senior care assistants of whom 3 are highly skilled.

Linda Wrighton, the deputy manager helps Mariaan with staff training, admin and assessments on new residents The home is run by Linda when Mariaan is not on site. She is also the appointed Fire Officer.

We have 17 members of staff:-
7 with NVQ 3
5 with NVQ 2
1 with RGN
1 Studying towards NVQ 3 (now called Diploma in care)
2 studying towards NVQ 2
1 holds an NVQ in manicure care.

Staff have completed courses in First Aid, Health and Safety, Manual Handling, Food Hygiene, Dementia awareness, Advanced Medicines handling and Infection control, Safeguarding Adults, Mental Capacity Act + Dols, End of Life, and Falls Prevention.

Other staff include 3 domestics and a maintenance man.

Darren Gouge is the full time cook. He holds a NVQ 3 in Food Preparation + Cooking, NVQ in Patisserie + Confectionary and D32 + D33 Assessors Qualification.
